Nanchen Natur was founded by Nana and Peter Sendke back in 1983. For the past 40 years, Nanchen Dolls and Rattles have been crafted in a small workshop in Martinhagen, Schauenburg - a small village in the middle of Germany. All Nanchen toys are handmade with love by 15 artisans with precision and care, using only the best and safest organic materials.

Characterised by extensive hand work, and with every face hand-painted, time is given to quality and attention to detail.

In contrast to the modern world, the time and effort invested in creating each doll contributes to their special appeal and "magic".

Made with almost exclusively certified organic materials and using plant-dyed silk. Each doll's skin and face is made from organic cotton, and clothes are made from organic materials. Our dolls are stuffed by hand with Bioland-certified organic sheep's wool from Germany.
