Robert Gordon takes enormous pride in its Australian-made collections, collaborating closely with the Gordon family, staff, and clients. As one of Australia’s last large-scale potteries, Robert Gordon has been manufacturing high-fired stoneware for over 25 years using a mix of traditional and modern tools. The skilled craftspeople, some with the company for over 25 years, ensure timeless design and quality. Robert Gordon recycles unused clay and designs all glazes on-site, allowing for flexibility and unique, hand-glazed pieces. Using a stoneware clay body, the pottery is bisque fired at 1000°C and gloss fired at 1280°C, producing fully vitrified pieces that will not absorb moisture.
