Nanchen Luisa without clothes is handmade with love in Germany from organic cotton with organic pure new wool filling and hair made from mohair to produce a beautiful doll that will be treasured for years.

Waldorf dolls such as Luisa are filled with natural sheep’s wool – the body heat of the child quickly warms the doll, making the doll warm to hold and cuddle. Each Nanchen doll face is hand painted with great care using several different colours, making each individual doll unique.

Care

Washing your Nanchen Friend

Hand washing is best and when washing, please note that Nanchen dolls are filled with sheep's wool. These natural fibres shrink and mat at temperatures that are too hot or if you use too harsh detergent. Please use a wool detergent and do not rub, brush, spin or wring. After washing, squeeze carefully and leave to dry on an absorbent terry cloth towel.

How do I care for the doll's hair?

The hair is made of high-quality mohair fibres. To style it, you can simply use a hairbrush.
