At the corners of sculpture and design, the Arc Stool sits. An object that serves many functions and a silhouette informed by two pivotal contemporary design movements.
The table, stool, andstyling object calls on modernism and minimalism to continue Lightly’s exploration into how simple forms and high craftsmanship can enrich our daily lives.
Handcast in raw aluminium, the Arc was designed in harmony with the Minimalist ethos: simple without overpowering messages or emotions. A permeable object designed for humans to fill; fed by meaning and spirit to embody ‘the intimacy of inanimate’.
Powder-coated aluminium can also be used outdoors.
Function: as both a side table, stool or interior object. Material: Cast Aluminium and powder coat.
Care:Due to the handcrafted nature of this product, slight variations may occur in the surface or shape. This is because it is made and finished by hand. The pieces are handmade in limited edition batches of 15-20. The Raw finish is not lacquered and will oxidise and darken to reveal a distinctive patina. Use a quality metal polish and a soft cloth to restore brightness if preferred. Keep away from water or dust.
